How to implement the new system

Quick jump to comments

The big problem is not to decide how a non-capitalistic system would work. The big challenge is how to implement it in an already existent capitalistic system, because they are intrinsically deeply incompatible with each other.
The rules of the capitalistic system don’t allow the existence of anything that doesn’t generate a monetary profit, directly or indirectly.

It is not possible to turn gradually a capitalistic system into a non-capitalistic one. Or at least, not easily. It is like to transform a gasoline car into an electric airplane. There are no parts which you can reuse directly.

Then how could a non capitalistic system be implemented nowadays?

Excluding an undesired violent breakdown of the current system and a violent revolution, the first necessary condition is that the people get gradually aware about their enslaved condition to the monetary system, in the Capitalistic system.
If only people would get aware about for what they are going to work everyday in the capitalistic system, what money and the ‘financial economy’ really are, everything would be much more easier.
Without this awareness, no change is possible. Therefore, please share these pages, if you agree with this.

As first, people should start to demand to get more decision power at all politic levels, to increase the speed of the process (which will require a quite long time anyway).

The first fundamental steps would be:

1) Abolish the interests on money loans and in the whole monetary system. Money can’t generate money. And consequently, abolish the inflation. This would give already a huge improvement.

2) Vote for the proper politic parties, these crucial targets could be gradually reached. Let’s exploit the very few tools which the Representative Democracy offers to people.
Ground new parties, if necessary.

In addition to this, in your daily life you can do many things to help the ongoing decline of capitalism.
As first, do anything is against the growth of the senseless GDP number (Gross Domestic Product):

3) Do everything that decreases the production of new items or devices:
– Don’t buy unnecessary things.
– Don’t buy new clothes at every season. Use them until they are not broken and let them repair if it is not too expensive. Almost all clothes come from the exploiting ope people in Asia with huge environmental damages.
– Don’t change your smartphone, tablet or PC every year or two.
– Try to get repaired your not working devices. Many times it is enough to replace degraded electrolytic capacitors, which are built in every device to short its life (see Planned Obsolescence, or do a search like here).
– Don’t trash your “old” but still working electronic devices! Spend some time by selling them in the second hand market or give them away for free! There will be always interested people. This will decrease the demand of new devices, the consumption of resources, and the production of waste. Each reused object is saved work and raw materials.

4) Refuse underpaid jobs and jobs with a miserable pay. This subtracts oxygen to the concentration of capitals in few hands. Don’t undersell your life time! Time is the most precious capital you have!

5) Don’t put your money in stocks or in “financial products”. Spend your money on real things. Don’t take loans from banks. Try to save money first and then pay without to require a financing.

6) Promote activities based on the exchange of services and worked hours. Some initiatives of this kind have already started in some Countries. People will get more aware, that their most precious Capital is Time.

Another way to implement a non-capitalistic system involves the Countries of the Third World. The underdeveloped Countries have a big advantage in comparison to the “rich” Countries. They would start having almost nothing as basis. They have not an already established, huge and obsolete system to dismiss. They can start directly from the beginning, grounding a system which runs with the rules of the shared resources and shared work, and not being based on the generation of a monetary profit. They should exploit this advantage to realize their change.
